In our workshop we manufacture custom steelwork for the construction industry. We have worked with a number of house builders manufacturing steel beams, portals and framework for construction jobs where steelwork is specified by the architect.
General Engineering
At McCallum Engineering we have the resources and experience to handle a wide variety of engineering projects. We have handled projects ranging from steel gates to small bridges, steel framed buildings and the roof of a service station
Our boilermakers have completed large jobs such as a windmill tower, installed for Windflow Technology at Gebes Pass on the Christchurch Port Hills, and galvanising kettles for use in hot-dip galvanising plants.
In our machine shop we manufacture shafts, pins, wheels etc. Having this capability in-house can enable us to complete a job quickly when we might otherwise be held up waiting for a specific part. This facility is used extensively for our crane work as well as other engineering applications.
